Totem improved their design on the basic as well recently. They have had a lot of issues getting their production set up to handle volume, but it looks like their store is finally open for business again. I've got their original basics in green and yellow (did have a red but it vanished). I recently got the new blue size in the updated version. The new lighter trigger design is beautiful. They could certainly benefit from a molded thumb loop, but it's no big deal. That said, I prefer the Totem (non basic) Cams and will reach for them first over the basics or C4's. Love them.
