Mmmm, beer. a subject close to my heart!
Tetleys, John Smith's and Bodies is easy to get in Melb. $80.00 for 24x440ml widget cans. My local IGA (locally owned Supermarket) used to get it in for me for around the same price, when I worked in Hamilton. Which is a small country town a little bigger than R'vale and a little more progressive too, but not much.
Corona can be bought at most supermarkets along with the usual assortment of Euro Lagers (Stella, Heinies). Most however are made under license in Oz and taste like crap.
I could even buy Special Brew, when in the mood. But have been having trouble getting of late when I visit Melb. for supplies.
You're in for a rude shock as far as beer goes, there are a few good brewers, but I dought any will be stocked in R'vale.
As for a vehicle, IMO. I would get to R'vale and track one down there. The people you work with and meet will look after you. The beauty of living in a small country town is somebody will always know somebody who can help you out. Failling that, Mildura is just up the road (well in Oz distances!).
