Hi,
I'll be travelling through the Grampians in March, unfortunately without a climbing partner. Since I'm just a sport climber with a bad leader head, I think I'll need a climbing guide, not just a climbing partner there.
Can anyone recommend a climbing guide around Halls Gap?
Thanks, Birgit

Earl's web site is at http://www.hanginout.com.au/ We have used him for school groups and he was excellent.

There is very little, bordering on zero, sport climbing around Halls Gap so getting somebody to take you up some trad (with its required rack) is probably a good thing. But, remember, Stapylton is really not that much further away.

Thanks for your replies. How far is Stapylton from Halls Gap? I can't really find a map that shows the distance.

It's about 30 minutes drive north. Definitely head to Stapylton area rather than Halls Gap itself if you get a guide. I also highly recommend Earl!
