I've just moved to Stanmore and its seeming pretty convenient to me. Gym is 5mins away, easy to head south or west for climbing. Its a bit far to the bouldering areas, but most of the time I wouldn't have time to go there after work anyway. I found finding a place pretty easy - but i think I might have been pretty lucky. Can't comment on other Sydney areas though because I haven't lived anywhere else. James
