Hi Ben,

I have just returned from Mt Araps. I went there with no one to climb with - but soon met other 'orphans' like myself. There were between 50 and 150 people there and no problems finding others to climb with.

Just wander around and ask people and you'll find someone.

Camping is at the Pines or the other two camp areas at Araps. There are toilets but that's all. If you want a shower, ask at the Natimuk 'Milk Bar' and you get a key (for $5) to the Lake Natimuk Caravan Park. Or go to Horsham and a shower at the caravan park is $2.

In the Gramps, there are plenty of places to camp as well.

Good climbs? Get a guidebook or ask someone. And there are also great 'easy' climbs to do as well. Bard (12 or so), Resignation (15), Muldoon (13), Mari (17), Oceanoid (17), Missing Link (17?), Tannin (19), etc etc etc. Don't burn yourself out on just the hard climbs - have fun on the great, but easier climbs as well.
