Ok, thanks dalai & neil for that information. I'm really surprised. I assumed that melbourne would have several gyms in easy distance of the city - if not actually *in* the city! So much for wild assumptions :-) I saw on the web about the gym at Verve apartments in the city. Is that not open yet? Or did that plan go down the gurgler? I'd be happy to taxi to a gym, but not unless I had a partner already lined up. If anyone else reads this & is interested, please reply in this thread, I'll keep my eye on it for the next few days.
