Hey Daniel A friend and I are in the same boat however we both have outdoor experience to some degree yet neither of us can lead on trad. Our plan is to hook up with Mt Arapilies Climbing guide. These guys provide a two day course at Araps - weekend of our choice. Ideally we're hoping to smash the course by end of May. Not only we will be leading on Trad by the end of the weekend, but we'll also be proficient in setting up anchors/top-ropes etc. If we catch on pretty quickly we may even do some rescue techniques on day two. Are you guys interested in doing the leading course with us? Have a brilliant weekend. Vegas (oringally from Brisbane but Melb is now my home town - conducive to all of my extra cirricular activities)
