Climbing out of KL is pretty good fun. (Especially if Singapore is the alternative).
The main areas are around Batu Caves. Damai Cave - has the biggest and most impressive wall. Definitely worth a visit. The wall is covered in expansion bolts and lower-offs. Or though, the locals could use a lesson or two in what makes a good lower-off. There are a few other smaller areas - all worth a visit. Have fun and explore.
Search the net for a guide. But don't worry too much if you can't find specific route details - the routes have ample bolts. I recommend just climbing and figuring out what grade it is on the way up.
