Climbfit do a very good ropes and anchors course which starts with building top rope anchors and progresses to some indoor practice at (sport) lead climbing. It does cover trad placement, but in the context of building top rope anchors. ASM in Katoomba also do a two-day lead climbing course. When I did it we focused entirely on trad climbing (Mt Piddington), both single and multi-pitch but usually the first day is sport (Dam Cliffs) I think.

My advice would be whatever you do don't push your limits on placing protection and your grade at the same time. If you're making the transition from sport to trad be aware that a grade 14 crack climb can feel a lot harder than a grade 14 face climb if you aren't used to that style of climbing - this certainly caught me out at first.
