Just spent 3 weeks climbing around Tassie and absolutely loved it. The weather wasn't bad; just the occasional day of rain.

A few hints if you're heading to tassie:
I would definitely second the idea of jumaring out from The Moai. We climbed back out and had some problems with lose rock coming down on us! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND wearing a helmet. The access is covered in a lot of loose rock which it is very difficult not to disslodge however going to the Moai is a must do!

I had a fantastic experiance on it and was rewarded with a perfect rainbow over the island in the distance when we reached the top. Absolutely stunning!!

Ps. Gerry's new 'Climb Tasmania' guide is great and will certainly make crag (and route) finding heaps easier especially for places like the Star Factory.
