Heya people!
Freshly arrived in Australia with no perspective other than to bum it hard for no predictable amount of time nor definite location, I am on the lookout for a climbing partner.
As a person, I come in the shape of a small but not frail frenchwoman (1m58, just under 60kg), just off a year well spent in Wellington, NZ. I am extremely easy going but strong minded and with a crazy edge. I swear in english, even when I climb.
I am currently settled in Melbourne waiting for the weather to warm up a bit (my sissy side) and hoarding camping and missing climbing gear. I plan on heading to the Araps early september (or grampians, I'm real easy, I wanna climb them all anyway) to set my tent until I'm tired of the place.
I currently boulder at South Yarra bridge and paid a first visit at the CBD hard rock gym but have no real rope partner.
I have been climbing for 9 months, I lead up to 20 indoors, and my outdoors experiences are too few to really tell, lead 16 and top rope 18 so far. Never had the opportunity to even try harder than the one 18. Meantime I'm impatient to learn trad too, which is sort of the whole point of going to the araps.
Gear wise, I have my own basics, a multipitch ATC and a few locking carabiners. If the perfect partner shows up empty handed I might just can it and buy ropes and quickdraws.
I know how to set up a top rope, rappel down a route, anchor myself safely at the top of a lead, and do amazing monkey sounds.
For the trip to the araps, I can get a ride with all the camping stuff I'm starting to hoard, so you could join. If we're great buddies I don't mind sharing a tent as well.
If you have a van, it'd be amazing too.
I've found amazing rope partners in every shape and forms, I'm just looking for someone confident with a dynamic belay, the rest is up to you.
Anyone just PM me and we can hit it up. |
