Great write up :-) I heard from someone who knew the ranger that discovered the stuck ropes after the ascent. Needing some way to remove them, tried tying the ropes to the back of their 4WD... Watching the tower in the rear view mirror as he drove away, had the horrifying thought he was pulling the tower over - got out of the car and started running!!
