Hey Andrei I've crossed the pass – if you've never been further than the playing fields you might not know that there's a nice spot to camp up by the Caroline Hut. Would be a sweet place to pitch the tent for the night and easier access to any nearby peaks you would want to climb (Kaitiaki?). I would also consider dropping down the other side of the pass and walking out via the Tasman Glacier side. Makes for a nice round trip. But then I'm not a fan of backtracking... Cheers
