I'm heading over to France in late June and hoping to go climbing for a week or so before heading to Slovenia to meet up with a friend for trekking. Anyone out there looking for a climbing buddy? Or any tips on how I can find one and/or where the best spots to go in France?

Hi Merel. There are plenty of spots to climb in France, it all depends on what you want to do (trad or sport)! In the south, you can go to Pyrenees (Midi d'Ossau, Ordesa). In the east side you find Verdon. Close to Grenoble it is Rocher de Glandasse, Vercors, les Ecrins (Aguja Dibona) and Ceuse (sport). In Chamonix area there are also thounsands of climbs. If you need some for info, ask me (i´m from spain but have been many times in france). Cheers!

Ceuse would be nice and busy and a good bet for finding a partner.
I was in the Gorges du tarn that time last year. Was warm but still very climbable, not so many people around though. Its an amazing place though, worth a shot if your down south.
