After one of our group had to pull out, we are looking for a fourth person for our trip to Tasmania in February. Two of us will be there from the 7th onwards and the third will arrive on the 14th, leaving on the 24th. naturaly, the trip will be more enjoyable with 4 people as there will be less third wheeling involved.
Who are we?
22-24 year old guys, have been climbing for 1, 3 and 4 years, interested in grades between 18-24 (22 if its trad because we're a bit soft) trad, sport perhaps some bouldering we have all our own gear, bouldering mat, couple of trad racks, ropes etc.
Who are you?
pretty much anyone, guys, girls, any age or experience, weather you want to go hard or take it easy, we can accomodate. you will need harness chalk and shoes. anything else is a bonus. If you have a car you want to bring, sweet, otherwise we will rent and split the cost.
dont worry if you cant make the dates work out perfectly, any time in these dates is great. this is a great chance to get onto some dolerite and have a great time.

I lost my nerve on an 18 at buffalo last weekend, but on a good day I hope pull out a 22. On most days, we will probly stay around the 16-20 grades. I just dont want to be misleading people into thinking I can get up a 24 on trad.

Hi guys,
I am already here, cycling around.
Have a half of rack and one halfrope.
Climb about the same grades like you,
like trad a bit more than sports.
Bouldering is ok too.
I am 44 and from overseas, germany.
So you are looking for a fourth climber after your friend arrives on the 14th! ?
Let me know if interested some days in advance!
Where do you wanna climb?
Cheers, Gerald

I have climbed with this barefoot climbing, knot-placing nutter from Saxony. He is great value on the rope and around the camp fire.

22 trad routes in tassie generally arent give-aways... Some people have bitched about sandbagging in general. To that i say its just a little more mentally involved in tas generally!
Ill be about but no free time to climb with y'all! But let me know if u need a local hookup! Showers/gear/beta etc!!

Thanks Simon. We've just had our first feel of real tassie rock at hillwood. Already run out of finger tips. Gotta love the sport routes. Found the grading quite fair but haven't tried any trad yet. We have heard from a few people that the grades aren't worth chasing. We will just be out to have some fun if we can ever work out the Damn weather. Thanks for the shower beta. We may just take you up on it.
Cheers
James.

Hi Gerald, sorry to get back to you so late. It would be great to catch up. Have you done much climbing in tassie already? We are in launceston now and out third arrives in launceston next Tuesday. We will basic ly be following the weather but we want to have a crack at a few classics in freycinet (excuse spelling) and others. Let us know if you can make it.
Cheers
James
