Is anyone feeling adventurous who would like to climb some new real estate near Grenfell, NSW. The Weddin Mountains has a bit of rock about with a nice long escarpament over 50m high in some places. easy camping in the state park and a little walk in to climb some new lines on the beautiful sandstone.
I will be in the area through january if your feeling keen and would love to get some climbing happening.

wallwombat lives in the area and has checked it out with mikl, ww&s and others...
I used to live near that area myself, and think that January is possibly the worst month you could consider for climbing on a mostly west facing escarpment!
Best of luck with it though, as I identify with the adventure ethic...

It will be 35 to 40 degrees most days in January.
I've already given up bouldering out here, until Autumn, as it's too bloody hot and I'm sick of doing The Tango with angry, big Brown Snakes.
Walking up to those cliffs, in January, carrying heaps of climbing gear and trying to put up new routes would end up like a scene out of "The Last Days of Burke and Wills"
Any other time, I would be keen.

Yeah. I know a few people that might loanya a hand drill and hammer. I also know a bloke who has a wicked Gd16 ice-cube breaker-upperer!
