Hi Charlie!

I live in Benalla but I am still bit of a beginner - Mt Buffalo is not that beginner friendly, but my son (who is currently living at the Pines) LIVES for climbing and does come back here from time to time for a shower and a visit. He'll be more than happy to go climbing with you. There are a few areas around here to climb - the Cathedrals are about the same distance away and there are bouldering spots around here as well. Mt Pilot is also a good spot for slab and crack routes.

There is a brand new climbing gym in Albury which I'd love to try as well - it's about an hour away from here. THere are quite few climbers in and around Albury - a few other women who are keen too.

You can find my son on Chockstone (bl@ke) although he doesn't get on here very often these days.

Good luck, and I hope you enjoy Benalla. It's not for party animals, but it's a nice spot...
