the easier variation did the second time says that it is difficult when icy which is why i didnt try it solo. It ended up being about grade 15 and pretty cruisy. reasonably long route though and a reasonable complex summit ridge to traverse. I took a single 60 metre rope which was fine for most abseils JUST. a 70 metre rope would be better. Which routes are in condition depend on what time of year you go. north face rock is june july aug. south face rock / nelion peak is in dec , jan feb. standard route on nelion is quite a bit shorter and easier I think.
