I broke my leg and fractured my ankle back in 2004. Landed awkwardly and rotating as I barndoored while back climbing a bouldering problem. Hold broke! My first time back climbing I swear my heart was going to explode out of my chest. I just got back into it slowly, build up your climbing fitness first and if that means top-ropping so be it. Or just get onto the really easy stuff and build up both your confidence and fitness. The head space will come with more exposure.
