Like most hard routes and problems, brutal arm and finger strength + finesse with your feet and excellent body tension is the key to BB, without it you won't climb it. Getting off the ground is the easy bit, nailing the crimper, sorting out your feet then dynoing to the top is the hard bit. The chockstone eliminate version of BB is at least 3-4 grades harder too - I graded the eliminate V8 which I think is about right. I reckon Caddis provides a greater challenge as it's technically brutal, however you don't need as much power hence the V7 grade. |
