The thing to remember with Ben Lomond, is that unless you are doing one of the classic crack routes on Robins Buttress(like Rajah etc), there is a good chance that your doing somewhere between the 2nd and 5th ascent! So be prepared for some loose rock. Even on the trade routes, there is normally a band of dodgy 'wheetbix' rock near the top. I find the whole place a bit scary. Thats whats great about it!
