I've sprayed gallons of Roundup (Glyphosate) over the years as part of maintenance programmes for the re-establishment of native vegetation and I sprayed right up to and around all kinds of natives with no ill effects. I planted the trees and know that they were well planted. Often the loss of natives is due to poor stock to start with, poor planting techniques, and poor maintenance techniques (and putting the trees in the ground at the wrong time) - many times I've seen other peoples revegetation sites where they blamed spray drift and it was obvious that it was factors other than spray drift that knocked their plants.
