There's a couple of versions of Sunstroke - with only a 50m rope you run out of length about 30m along (as per your description), and you set up a belay in that horrible broken up rock on the broad ledge.
The ACT Granite guide (p.98) topo shows the next pitch following all away along to the left of the Northern Slabs, following the slabby diagonal break. I think we ended up doing more the Ephemeros or Tachyon finish as there is too much dead tree to the left of the slab, and it seems more the natural line, and I love the look of the nice chunky tree at the top to belay off.
No abseiling off any (dead!??) trees though.
