just put a few photos on here from a recent trip to Cho Oyu

Havent got much time to write a thorough trip report but briefly

- went there in early september from Nepal overland to Tibet
- arrived at Advanced BC around mid september.
-acclimatised up to camp 2 (7100m) before going back to ABC for a rest before the summit push.
- Ryan (friend from Brisbane) and I summitted on the 2nd October without supplementary oxygen
- we were unsupported above ABC and carried all our stuff ourselves
- We shared BC and logistics with a team from Field Touring
- tragedy struck when one of the field touring team (who we got to know really well and hung out with alot) died from a fall after an epic ascent.
- another guy on the team took a massive fall after dropping his abseil device on the descent from the summit and trying to downclimb the yellow band. he survived albeit with a ripped downsuit and bad frostbite.
- there you have it --a hard trip filled with good new friends, success, tragedy and one big mountain.
