Beechworth Bouldering 30-Jan-2007 At 12:18:15 PM shiltz

Spent the Australia Day weekend in Beechworth and checked out the bouldering on Saturday arvo. The problems in the old quarries at locations C and D were all easy to locate and good fun (most can be done in sandles).
We found the Roadside Sideshow but without a mat it wasn't a pleasant landing so we moved on to the creek.
The Nymph had some really nice moves on it. Bayou Baby looks nice but is a bit beyond my abilities at present.
We found Sunset Strip but the rock was wet and I didn't fancy a long slide into the pool at the bottom (better on a nice warm day when the wind isn't blowing spray across the line). Also found Flotsam which looked intriguing. So intriguing that after looking for some time we still couldn't work out how to do it.
My compliments to Paul on the guidebook. I'll check out some of the other areas next time we're up there. Looks like there is still plenty of potential for further additions.
