Great article with lots of pictures.
I first went to Bukhansan in 1989 for a skyline walk. Saturday of a business trip - flew to Taipei on the Sunday.
I climbed there in 1994. Took harness and boots 'on spec' i met a US army Major climbing with 2 Koreans - he set me up on a 6 pitch slab route - translated as Skyline Traverse - corner to start then up the slabs - 19/20 grades with 2 - 3 runners per full rope length pitch. 2 bolts with a pile of tat on each belay - TJ ripped these apart with his big knife! Glad TJ (the Korean) led these. Very thin move of 22-ish right at the top. Then 2 abseils back to ground; one to a big ledge with 2" gal pipes whacked into a crack as rap anchors; from these 50m to ground. Grand day out!
