Nice report, good work on the climb! Love the 4:00 AM beer.

"At the top of the crack I clipped a dodgy carrot and then did a free mantle and was then faced with the ramp. I tried to go up it but I couldn’t do it in my boots (I'll definitely wear free climbing shoes for this pitch next time). I tried it barefoot but that was even worse: the rock hurt my feet. In the end I lassoed the horn of rock at the top of the ramp and hauled myself up. Easy."

That ramp is a b*tch and spat me off over the edge once when I tried to aid it on a micro nut. It was wet so even my climbing shoes offered no grip. I wish I had figured out to lasso the horn! Good thinking after a long hard day.
