If you make it to Mt Buffalo, Mother of Pearl (14) at Eurobin Falls would be a fair warm up for Snake Dike in grade and feel. For example, the start is the crux then long and easy but mostly unprotected slabs. (Snake Dike has occasional harder bits up higher, but always near bolts.)

For crack training, if you can climb most of the classics at Piddo, you shouldn't have too much trouble in Yosemite. (It worked for me!) The same could be said of Mt Buffalo, but the crack grades there tend to be harder (and more painful). |
