Not sure if Balls Pyramid really qualifies as, "Australia's only true expedition icon".... Even if it were in the same league as Everest or the Matterhorn, then I support the management authorities descision to prevent the same level of traffic and rubbish from damaging it. Climbers unfortunately don't have a great track record for minimal impact, even if we'd like to think we did. I'm all for the open discussion of access issues, but I reckon it's important to choose the right cause.
