Hey Chockers!

Just wanted to put out the feelers for some info...

I'm currently working in Chengdu, SW China for a few months.... Chengdu is a major launching point for going to Lhasa in Tibet, and from there to Everest Base Camp. I'm going to be reasonably cashed up at the end of my time here, and will have some time to spare before the next contract I'm doing....

I'm looking to fulfill a long held dream of seeing Lhasa, and Everest. Considering I'm so close I can almost taste the tsampa, I want to make sure I do the trip right!

If anyone has any info on this trip, do's/don'ts, recommendations, maybe even a reputable tour company to go with, that would be much appreciated!!

Also, if anyone knows of any trekking peaks around Chengdu/Sichuan, that would be most appreciated, or any companies that do guided alpine stuff on some peaks in the region, I'd love to give that a crack as well... : )
