one tip i have is to ask around about water sources above 2,000m before any of your trips up hill, saves lugging water and considerable bucks vs buying it in some of the cabines - i've seen prices up at AUD10.00 the litre. my personal preference is the bivvy tent every time, its the only way i get a good night's sleep.
