Hey steve - got on the red menace today - it was finally dry. Took me 20 minutes to clean the handholds - the foot holds are still covered in sand. It is such a shame that the route is constantly covered in dirt.
The moves are awesome and the climbing is a nice mix of power and edging. I dogged up it and then pulled the draws as my fingers were destroyed. I found the holds (especially the crux undercling) very sharp - even more sore than Bill Collins - at least you just hang the holds on BC on TRM you have to pull quite hard - ooch. Will try and redpoint next time early on before the tips are trashed. Good route - I give it 1 star and will upgrade it to 2 stars if I send it next time (if I fail or split a tip I will bad mouth it and there will be now stars for you at all)
