i agree with hipster, the confirmation of quality is reflected in the number of acents/attempts. doing a first acent then commenting on its quality is looking through rose tinted glasses to some extent. hence when mike asked if GOM were good, i suggested he asked the future ascensionists. who would go to the effort of bolt or do a first ascent on a route and then say it was crap
