If it was The Kennel, it was a pretty goey grade 7, I thought.... I started to solo it but had second thoughts and roped up instead. Plus, the Guide description speaks of a "slab" and a "flake" for The Kennel...... The Chimney Crack is just a hand-to-off-width splitter that runs the whole way up the right wall, inside the narrow chimney. If the 'Chimney Crack' marked in the 2002 Northwest Guide is actually The Kennel, then I'm sorry for wasting everyone's time.
