The Vic Range is a great place to visit - especially in the warmer months. You can have a crag all to yourselves - almost every trip! And as Will says, it's awesome! It is my favourite part of the Gramps. And excellent bush camping too.
Simey's guide is v good for the general information - roads, maps, general crag location, getting there in the quickest way, walking times etc. It covers the best of the 90s and earlier development (as seen through the eyes of Simey and Glenn).
There has been a great deal of development (trad, mixed and sport) over the past 10 years. Most of this is covered on the ACA website.
When you look at both Simey's Guide and the ACA together, you'll be able to find your way around easily.
Keiran's Guide has other areas well worth visiting - and in some cases more detailed route descriptions (little slander though).
The area around Gilhams has many crags that should be visited by all climbers. Use all 3 sources to find crags with enough routes at your grade.
WARNING: Kangaroos abound in the Vic Range and driving quickly along Harrop Tk, The Henty Hwy or Glenelg River Rd etc means you will hit them ...... and hit them hard.
