Ok, but self-locking nuts can be removed or tightened after installation, they just don't work loose over time (or are less likely to than normal nuts at the least). The metal spring washers that wallwombat mentioned can also be used, but are more likely to have problems if the bolt isn't exactly perpendicular to the hanger/rock surface.
