Fantastic climbing. Yes, many routes are quite polished (esp. the first few moves) but it is bolted to buggery so quite safe. In fact, you end up skipping some of the bolts there are so many.
All kinds of routes and grades - plenty of multi and single pitch. You won't be short of choice.
There are two campsites i think, both pretty good. We were in the more "expensive" one next to a pool and slightly closer to town. We visited the other and it seemed good too. Had a lot more climbers there (cheaper!). They are both pretty close to the centre of town,
It was bloody hot when we were there. Most days 30+. Often we didn't start climbing until 3pm, but that was OK as it didn't get dark till about 8pm.
I think there is a pretty good guidebook for the area we used. I can't recall the name but i think my mate will know.
yeah there are tons of climbing shops. But remember not to bother shopping between 12-2pm - everything is shut!
