Ross kindly introduced me to this Crag/Face over the xmas break & we spent an hour of "bumbling" (yes I bumbled, Ross climbed) about whilst Ross gave me some "real time tips" on how to address "Lycra" & "Sensible Undies". There is a large 2 tonne bomber anchor behind Ross's hat & a nice nest of blackberries at the quarry floor to keep you "on your toes" whilst body belaying.
On Lycra I found the sharpest edge of a "razor flake" (just down to left of the L on the Lycra)
= excess "free range blood" = had to retreat to "Sensible Undies" which wasn't as savage on the fingers. Ross has done a great job of cleaning, defining & grading these climbs & is great guy to climb with. (& very patient :-)
We would have done more but we had to retreat to my sister's place in Castlemaine
for a jam session & (more) cool drinks. (after checking the Wabbit's Woks etc)
* Thanks again Ross for the bon amis & the great afternoon out !!
