The Mandalay cliff is described in the Lower Blue Mts Guide - published by Sydney Rockies. The
guide also covers Nortons Basin and Glenbrook Gorge. The guide has been out of print for a while -
and I understand that its contents will be included in Sun Surf and Sandstone some time in the future.
The crag is also covered in "Sydney and The Sea Cliffs" - Mike Law's guidebook for Rock - which you
can probably still get hold of.
Its not a bad crag - good in winter as it gets the sun most of the day and is sheltered. We were there
one time and a local told us that the council had banned climbing there because of climbers knocking
rocks down on cars (there is a road under the crag - and a lot of the climbs, you actually belay from
the road). We could see no evidence for this (eg signs) and had climbed there before without any
problems - so we continued climbing. But, later in the day a group of kids turned up and scrambled up
above one end of the crag - and they did deliberately dislodge a huge boulder that rolled down onto the
roadway.
