Is there ever any climable ice down Leather Barrell creek? I went out there this summer as a reccy for snowboarding this winter (only a few months to go!). It is steep and rocky as hell. There is some cool bouldering just out from Thredbo there aswell. Sort of just bellow Rams Head on the Thredbo side. I found that the crispy lichen that covers most of granite in the high country was quite thin around there and the rock much better quality. Heaps of crazy shaped granite boulders whith cracks and faces at all angles
