Agree, AT gear is prefered and also has no bend in the toe.

Dont get me started on telemarking though. to late.

Firstly, I am a good telemark skiier and have enjoyed the style but choose to ski on AT as in my opinion Tele gear is that it is not "the best tool for the job".

Telemarking just makes things harder with no advantage over AT gear. It is a fact that AT gear is more efficient at climbing and better for DHing.

Die hard telemarker will tell you that they can ski anything that a dher can. but the fact is it requires more skill and more strength to do the same thing.

Its like rock climbing in hob nail books just cause its cool or traditional.

I have 3-4 friends who where die hard telemarkers that are switching cause they ski easier, longer, steeper, crudier and basically have more fun on modern AT gear than on Tele kit.

It you do it cause you like to make things hard for your self or you like the challenge then fine but dont pretend it is a better tool for the job.
