Ahhh...the build up to the Australian mountaineering season is soooo good.

Chris e-mailed me some photos of Blue Lake last week (they are in a PDF so cannot upload them). All I can say is that you can easily climb there now and it's compararble to how things were last August - not surprising - it's been very cold. It will be a great season for it. Mark the first or second weekend of August in your diaries (based on the weather forecast).
If anyone is interested, going to Buller for a plod (and some much needed cardio training) the weekend after next. Either late Friday night or Saturday arvo based on weather forecast.
