Received an email from Ku-ring-gai council last week.
Very good news:
Ku-ring-gai Council is pleased to inform you that the inspection program and risk assessment process related to Lindfield and Wahroonga Rocks has been completed.
The process included consultation with Council’s insurer and has resulted in Rock Climbing, Abseiling and Bouldering being deemed a dangerous recreational activity pursuant to the Civil Liability Act 2002, Division 5 Recreational activities sections 5L and 5M. As such, Ku-ring-gai Council takes no responsibility for the use of its bushland for rock climbing, abseiling or bouldering.
PLEASE NOTE:
• Rock-climbing within Ku-ring-gai is conducted at your own risk
• Bolts and climbing infrastructure are not maintained by Council
• Climbing and abseiling are inherently dangerous activities
