Not exactly what i meant, just wanted to mentioned that there is the option. Anyway, to reply to your message: I think a rope you can see if it is in okay conditions (otherwise there would never be a market for 2nd hand ropes in good conditions). As for the quickdraws: I think most people have climbed on quickdraws which someone left on a route or even permadraws which are not that uncommen in some parts. You don't really know more about those draws than about the ones you can hire there...
