I was thinking Bungonia Gorge may be suitable. We couldn't find the exit point for the walk out of there the first time I did the circuit walk (anti clockwise) and we ended up finding our way out, off route, up some pretty steep terrain. Plenty of scree and grabbing grass for handholds.
