Really good fun actually. Thanks very much to Gary (?) and Spencer (?) for volunteering and all others who helped so that I can go and escape my life for an hour or so at lunch times.
Grades aren't published yet (not anywhere I can find, anyway), but here's my 2c ...
25 degree wall
• 18 - Black traverse (similar to the last one)
• 21 - Yellow traverse (similar overall difficulty to the last yellow one – much easier moves but loads more of them. Long.)
• 23 - Green traverse (wee bit easier than the last green one but harder than the last yellow I think)
40 degree wall
• 20 - Black circuit (fraction easier than the last one)
• 22 – Purple
• 25 – Green (Bit crux-y, but not bad)
The up problems are genuinely fun though, particularly on the 40 degree wall. Of the problems I’ve tried
• Left pinky-orange – V4 (contrived top-out)
• Middle orange – V6
• Right light green – V4
• Right red - V6
• Right pink – V4
• Right orange – V3
• Middle red – V1
• Middle swirly white-green – V5
On the 30 degree wall ...
• Yellow-red in the middle - V3
These will probably be downgraded about 3-4 grades by the time they are formally published of course but it wouldn't be Australia otherwise.
Slightly better span of grades for mine - particularly on the "routes". Happy days and well done to all the setters - your help is always appreciated.
