Even if the gate is open - do not drive down! Nat Parks isn't a fan of the climbing development down there and they gated it for a reason. Occasionally a ranger obv forgets to lock it, but that it no open invitation to drive down. It should really have one of those Walkers and Management Vehicles Only signs.
