To clarify, I was talking about the Blue Lake chutes, seeing as we were talking about Blue Lake, and there are chutes there. Though it may surprise Victorians, there are actually many chutes on mountains all over the world, not just at Buller. And yep south facing slopes are still a bit too icy for good skiing. Though it's warming up very fast.
