Hi Neil,
We typically save fixes if they are not serious for the updates. If they are serious we do them immediately. They're not too difficult to do. Updates come out at various times and depends on the crag and what's available. As an illustration, I think we're onto our 4th iCrag Araps version in three years? We've lost count.
The ten Blueys crags selected are the obvious ones and it leaves us with plenty of opportunity to expand the app later. They are currently; Diamond Falls, Medlow Bath, Shipley Upper, Centennial Glen, Porters Pass, Logan Brae, Boronia Point, Bardens Lookout, Dam Cliffs and Bowens Creek. In the updates we'll target the likes of The Freezer, Cosmic County, etc. Actually, if we got requests from users we could use that as the basis to select any new crags. Although, I'd like to focus on some of the lower graded climbs if possible.
I should've mentioned in my original post that as is the case with all guidebooks, we have researched from a number of various sources and we've mentioned them in the app. But I'd like to also mention them here. They of course include the various Carter and Pircher guides but also the websites crag.com, climb.org.au and of course chockstone.org. We hope our iCrag app (many man-years of work in the making) can add quality and choice for climbers to the already great guides out there.
Android is actually finished. We're just de-bugging it now. Will post when it is done. |
