Narrowneck Road?

Does anyone know why the road out to Narrowneck is slowly falling to pieces? From what I can remember, it used to get a regular grading. Now it's a challenge not to spill my latte on the way out to Diamond Falls, what with all the car-sized potholes.
Hopefully this is not part of some plan to close it off once it gets too rough. It gets used by a whole heap of climbers/walkers/riders every weekend.

Cheers

We are loving it to death?

All road / footpath maintenance items such as drainage, failed sections of roads, potholes, requests for kerb and gutter works, trees, rubbish and grass cutting, etc need to be forwarded to Council's BM City Services section on (02) 4780 5000 or email council@bmcc.nsw.gov.au.

NPWS Blue Mountains area is 4787 8877

I suspect this could be partially a split jurisdiction issue, with BMCC probably responsible for the first part of Glen Raphael Drive (the road on Narrow Neck) and NPWS for looking after the section beyond their boundary (where the sign is/was).

NPWS is clearly strapped for cash and human resources at the moment, a situation which is not likely to improve in the near future. Adding to this problem, I believe the Service could be seeing a gradual loss of experienced personnel in part due to the current Government's philosophical cosiness with the anti-green component.

I think it's unlikely we will see Parks budgeting for road upkeep on Narrow Neck anytime soon.

That's what you get for drinking lattes. Switch to espressos for less splashing. ;)
